Favorite Exercises, Exercise Library Improvements & Search

Favorite Exercises

We've released Favorite Exercises so users can now keep track of the movements they love most.

They can favorite exercises in three ways:

  • Tap the 'heart' icon in the Exercise Library
  • Favorite while previewing exercises on the Progressions page
  • Favorite while in a workout from the More options menu

Once they've favorited at least one exercise, a new Favorite Exercises section will appear on the Home page. From there, users can quickly browse and filter to find the right exercise for them. Specifically, they can sort by most recently favorited, name, tags, or difficulty.

Exercise Library Improvements

The Exercise Library now has more powerful filtering and sorting options so users can quickly discover what they're looking for.

For example, users can first filter by the "Squat" tag, then change how the exercises are sorted using the "Order By" option.

Search

We've added search functionality into the app to make it quicker and easier for users to find exactly what they want. You can find the search feature at the top of the Explore page.

How it works

All content inside of the Explore page can be searched, while any content not added to the Explore page will not be searchable.

The search feature will look for matching text in a content's title, subtitle, and tags to determine if the content should be displayed as a matching result. For example:

  • Search by title (e.g., "Advanced Strength")
  • Search by subtitle (e.g., "8-week program")
  • Search by tags (e.g., "Kettlebell")

We also optimized the app's initial load time for new users as part of this feature update, since we needed to index and generate lighter weight content for the search results. Hope you enjoy this new update and let us know if you have any questions!
